New Year Down Under

We are having a warm summer here in Queensland with temperatures hovering around 28-31 degrees every day since about two weeks before Christmas .We enjoy the warm weather, but will be pleased when It becomes just a little bit cooler .Anyway we thought you might get a better idea of this area.
Arthur At Labrador
Myself on the esplanade at Labrador , with a view looking south ,towards Main Beach high rise , the Pacific Ocean is to the left of the photo , whilst the water you are looking at is the Broadwater . Beyond Main Beach, you can just see Surfers Paradise in the distance .(Labrador is Approx.8 minutes drive from our home .
Pelican Point
Carol at Pelican Point .This is a 4 minute walk in the opposite direction northwards from where I am standing , under the sun sails. The two high rise apartment towers you can see behind Carols hat , are at Runaway bay . This is a continuation of the Broadwater, and again this continues on to Sanctuary Cove, and in fact you can go by launch all the way up to Brisbane on a day trip passing over one hundred islands on the way. (Note the pelicans behind Carols left shoulder in the enclosed swimming area amongst the bathers .
Carol at the Spit
Carol on the beach at the seaway , this area is known as the Spit ,it was quite rough. this is the South arm of the harbour entrance from the Pacific ocean.
